The Torquay District Nurse team are recruiting a permanent Band 2 Phlebotomist to work part time (22.5 hours/week) in our Health and Well-Being Team.
Working as a Phlebotomist within an integrated team will result in you working across the community this includes: Community Nursing, Intermediate Care and Community Matrons.
You will be delivering high quality care to housebound patients across the Torquay locality, work as part of multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with primary and secondary care.

Demonstrate an awareness of physical, psycho-social, cultural and environmental needs of patients and their family/carer when in patient's homes
To obtain high quality blood samples from patients in the home environment
Responsible for planning and organising own day to day work tasks and activities within an occasionally unpredictable environment
To perform simple nursing procedures after a period of training/supervision from a Registered Nurse
To work independently and as part of a team, participating in team development when required
