Job Description

Chepstow Town Council is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a

Community Projects and Events Officer

. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering meaningful projects and community events that positively impact the town and its residents.

Location:

Chepstow Town Council Offices (office-based role)

Hours:

21 hours per week (average 3 days per week; some evening and weekend work will be required)

Salary:

17,632 per annum (full-time equivalent 31,067)

About the Role



This varied and rewarding role involves coordinating a wide range of local initiatives and public events, including:

Organising community events such as

Bands on the Bandstand

,

Christmas Lights Switch-On

, and civic commemorations Supporting environmental projects, including work with

Chepstow Community Orchard

Liaising with local community groups, schools, volunteers, and stakeholders Researching and submitting

grant funding applications

Providing administrative and committee support to Town Council meetings and working groups
The post holder will work closely with the Town Clerk, councillors, and external partners to deliver grassroots projects that enhance Chepstow's public spaces, foster community engagement, and support social and environmental sustainability.
