Job Description

The post holder will be responsible for the management of a caseload of clients within the Northwest of England, including liaison with local service providers including community mental health teams, carers, private and voluntary organisations. The post holder will participate in initial assessments and interventions to support deaf people with mental health needs. You will be expected to have advanced communication skills and be able to adapt modes of communication to meet the needs of the patient, predominantly using BSL. The community team work closely with the John Denmark Unit inpatient service and the post holder will be expected to work alongside the MDT in planning and supporting both admission and discharge pathways
