The Moor to Sea community Nursing Team covering Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Dartmouth and Totnes in South Devon are looking for enthusiastic and motivated applicants to join our team. We are keen to interview candidates who have an enthusiastic approach in providing high quality patient centred care for our patients.



Communication is key and we work closely with our larger multi -disciplinary team colleagues particularly our intermediate care team who we give assistance to provide nursing care. You should be a competent and confident individual and be able to carry out a large variety of nursing skills independently.

The successful candidate must have a full, clean driving licence.



We will offer comprehensive induction and training to prepare all new staff to be able to carry out their duties safely and effectively.



The duties include a wide variety of nursing skills including, holistic nursing assessment, palliative care, catheter care, continence care, enhanced wound care, medication administration and carer support.



We have a vacancy for a Community Nurse to work within the beautiful Moor to Sea area in South Devon.



Moor to Sea covers a considerable area which is largely rural. The main towns are Ashburton, Buckfastleigh, Dartmouth and Totnes. This post is for 37.5hrs per week at Band 5 AFC



Our Moor to Sea team works out of three bases and comprise three friendly close knit teams. We work very closely and staff rotate to support each other. This is a beautiful and popular holiday area and the workload can vary depending on the season. We belong to the Torbay and South Devon NHS foundation trust and have close links with the wards and departments at the acute hospital at Torbay hospital and the local community hospital in Totnes.

You must have an ability to provide and receive complex, sensitive and contentious information: using empathy and reassurance skills and can provide motivational and negotiation skills in areas where consent/ co-operation is required or there may be barriers to understanding.
