An opportunity has arisen for a Community Resource Centre Manager who will lead and develop our new Resource Centre in Netherley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and passionate individual with relevant experience who is looking to develop further in their career.





Our Resource Centre will provide a flexible, seven-day-a-week support service designed to meet the diverse needs of autistic individuals and their families. The Centre will have the capacity to support a number of individuals, providing access to essential resources and support services. In addition to the Resource Centre, there will be partnership working that will facilitate community integration and connection with our established Short Breaks and Respite Service.





You will be an engaging leader, demonstrating our commitment to developing the delivery of quality, person led support that ensures people with autism are empowered to enjoy a good quality of life and each person achieves their goals. You will be able to further develop our positive and trusting relationships with our commissioners, delivering on flexible support packages that meet the needs of each person we support.





As a Community Resource Centre Manager will be integral in the further development of a competent local workforce and will themselves be innovative and forward thinking ensuring that all staff are clear on the high standards of professional practice expected of them. As a manager you will promote and embed a culture of empowerment and commitment to the role, you will also motivate staff to proactively engage in their ongoing professional development ensuring they maintain their drive and enthusiasm for the job. Autism Initiatives are looking for a manager who has the creative and dynamic thinking to drive and develop a service that will inspire staff and offer the very best experience to the people that we support.





You will report to the Area Manager and focus on providing and achieving operational management of the service, ensuring ongoing compliance with contractual requirements.





Ideally you will already have a Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification, or equivalent experience. If you have not obtained this qualification, you will be expected to work towards this on taking up the position.



Good knowledge of autism and a passion for continual achievement is important in this role, though we will also provide you with a comprehensive induction and continuous training programme to build on existing knowledge and to support your continued professional development. A desire to make a positive different in the lives of autistic people is essential for this important role.
