Autonomous Practice: Ability to work independently, managing your own caseload and making informed clinical decisions. Diabetic Management: Blood sugar monitoring, insulin administration, with access to a specialist diabetic nursing team. Tissue Viability/Wound Care: Leg ulcer management, compression therapy, doppler assessments, VAC dressings, pressure ulcer care, and post-surgical wound management.
Supported by a specialist tissue viability team. Bladder and Bowel Care: Male, female, and suprapubic catheterisation, bowel care, and continence assessments. IV Medication Administration: Care of PICC/midline, preparation, and administration of IV medications. Palliative Care: Symptom management, support visits, administration of anticipatory medications (stat doses and syringe drivers), with access to a specialist community palliative care team.
Drain Care:
Management of JVAC, lantern drains, and Pleurex drains. Please refer to the job description and person specification for more information.
