We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals in their homes and communities. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their well-being. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care while promoting independence and dignity for those we serve.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
Provide meal preparation and nutritional support tailored to individual dietary needs.
Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to care plans.
Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or errands as needed.
Support childcare duties when applicable, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients.
Skills
Proven experience in home care or similar roles is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and first aid practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others in need of care.
Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
Knowledge of hospice care or nursing home environments is advantageous.
Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients safely.
