We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, helping them to achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. Your support will be crucial in fostering independence and promoting well-being among those you assist.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support to individuals, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
Assist with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and personal hygiene.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs and preferences.
Support clients in engaging with community activities and social events to promote inclusion.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or condition to the appropriate professionals.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other support staff to create tailored care plans.
Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a care or support role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Empathy and patience when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of clients, including evenings or weekends if required.
A valid driving licence is advantageous but not mandatory.
