Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure the well-being and comfort of our clients while promoting their independence.

Duties

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with medication administration and ensure compliance with prescribed treatment plans. Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate professionals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Experience in senior care, home care Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and healthcare professionals. Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting when required. A caring attitude towards individuals in need of support, demonstrating empathy and patience at all times.
