Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality support and enabling services to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities and private residences. Based on existing services, we offer a range of support to individuals including monitoring and supporting emotional well being, assistance with accessing services, personal and financial organisation, encouraging personal and domestic hygiene, travel and recreational activities and open a gateway to access the community. Being confident and friendly in nature you will offer the reassurance of a 'helping hand'. You will naturally be keen to listen and give whatever support is necessary and appropriate. Our aim is to encourage and promote client independence and self-confidence, moving on to greater self-sufficiency wherever possible.

This position is perfect for those with a passion for helping others and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of those that you will support.

Duties



Visit clients in the community and assist clients with daily living activities. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Support individuals with a range of diagnosis and vulnerabilities to maintain independence in their own homes. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour. Assist clients with making and getting to appointments or social activities as required. Collaborate with other healthcare providers and professionals to ensure comprehensive support. Engage in light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.

Requirements



Previous experience in community support or the care sector is not necessary as full and ongoing training is provided. Ability to manage challenging situations and behaviours effectively while providing compassionate support. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A valid driving licence and vehicle are essential. A caring attitude and commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those whom you will support. Pay: 12.80 per hour
