Job Description

We have exciting opportunities to work at Clayton Care as Community Support Workers on either a full or part time basis. We are passionate about supporting the amazing individuals to achieve their goals and targets whilst leading fulfilling and rewarding lives. We pride ourselves on providing a high level of care which is tailored specifically to each individual.

As a Community Support Worker with Clayton Care you will have a genuine interest in making a difference to the lives of the individuals we support. You will support people with all aspects of daily living both at home and out in the community. We are looking for candidates who are confident, proactive and have a self-reliant approach with the ability to respond to unplanned situations in a calm and flexible manner whilst lone working. Successful candidates will need to be reliable and good at timekeeping as we work with vulnerable people. You will also need to be compassionate, caring, resilient, patient, honest and a great communicator. Whilst experience is advantageous, candidates with a willingness to learn and with the right values and attitude will be considered.

Due to the nature of the service, we are looking for candidates who are flexible to work a variety of shift patterns, this includes days, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and waking night shifts. Full induction and training to carry out the role confidently will be provided. You must have a SVQ level 2 in Social Care or be willing to work towards it.

Successful candidates will be subject to 2 reference checks, a Disclosure Scotland check and a 3-month probationary period. All Community Support Workers are required to be registered with the SSSC once in the role if not already registered.

Review from an individual we support's family...

In 2010, we as a family were in a very difficult place while caring for our autistic son. Struggling to find the right care support and decide his future path, we were introduced to Clayton Care and it was the beginning of a long but fruitful life changing journey for him and us. After 14 years collaboration, care and planning between ourselves and Clayton Care, our son is living independently supported by their excellent care team 24-7. All staff members at Clayton Care are very experienced - supporting their clients' needs with kindness, awareness, diligence, patience and understanding. The well-being and safety of our son has produced growth in all aspects of his daily life, giving him structure and stability. We feel the care team is like an extension of his family, as well as ours. Being able to work together when challenges appear by developing and implementing coping strategies appropriate to his needs. And this, for us as parents is great peace of mind that our loved one is being cared for in the way we would expect.
