Community Teaching Assistant

Nuneaton, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Have you ever thought about a rewarding career in education outside the traditional classroom? Do you have the passion and enthusiasm to make a real difference in the lives of young people with learning disabilities?

No experience? No problem! We provide full training- all you need is a positive attitude, a fun, engaging personality, as well as:

A UK manual driving licence

GCSEs (Grade C/4 or equivalent) in English and Maths

The Role:

Join

No Limits,

where every day is an adventure! You'll work term-time only

(35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year)

,

Monday to Friday, 9 AM 4 PM.

Plus, you'll take part in up to three weeks of training and development during school holidays.

This is a community-based role, where you'll deliver tailored education programs to post-16 learners with special educational needs, including ASD, ADHD, and communication difficulties. You'll support learners in developing a variety of key life skills such as: using public transport, ICT skills, cooking and independent living, and money management. You may also accompany them to work experience or college.

Every day brings new challenges and rewards as you empower young people to achieve milestones, build confidence, and grow in independence.

If you're passionate about making a difference in a truly fulfilling career, we'd love to hear from you!

You may be supporting someone like *Harriet. Harriet's self-confidence and independence have flourished during her time with No Limits:

Harriet has a speech impediment and social anxiety. She struggled in the classroom and was excluded from her school. When Harriet found No Limits, we knew she needed something different. No Limits identified her communication barriers and used technology to help Harriet make choices, regulate her emotions, and structure her day. Harriet started using her communication device more regularly, and her growing confidence helped her navigate the world and make her own choices, such as ordering food at a cafe.

No Limits built on this success and introduced additional techniques to enhance Harriet's communication. Harriet now attends college with MacIntyre, where her confidence and engagement are ever improving.

Our team builds positive relationships, breaks down barriers, and boosts learners' self-esteem. Our dedication helps learners achieve their goals and excel.

We are always looking for the best individuals to contribute significantly to our continued success. Maybe this could be the start of your next chapter here at MacIntyre.

Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding.
