Community Tobacco Dependency Nurse
Job Description
Develop clinical pathways to treat tobacco dependency across initially Newcastle & Gateshead authority areas, understanding the nuances of differing service delivery, whilst identifying gaps and initiatives designed to reach those least likely to accept treatment for tobacco dependency in the first instance Establish good relationships and leadership with staff at all levels to motivate and advise on achieving high standards of care in helping patients in treating tobacco dependency Provides expert advice and training to the medical and nursing teams, as well as the Community Tobacco Dependency Treatment Advisors on tobacco dependency treatments, working as the representative for the service Ensures robust and complete data collection to map progress, monitor reach and share outcomes Compile and share reach and outcomes in multiple formats including summary reports and presentations in multiple forums Line management of Community Tobacco Dependency Treatment Advisors working directly on the TLHC tobacco dependency programme Maintain up to date and relevant knowledge of the evidence base surrounding treatment for tobacco dependency to continually act upon the changing evidence base and embed most effective treatment options as relevant
