Job Description




As the Companion Animal COE Lead, you will be responsible for the planning and delivery of the technology roadmap of our Companion Animal business. This includes working with Marketing, Data teams during the ideation phase, requirements management, designing and overseeing the development deliverables with the Core Technology groups, managing the interfaces with Commercial and Services teams, and strategic technical view for the product roadmap. You will oversee end-to-end programs, products, and development lifecycle and ensure that R&D, Marketing, and Data teams are working in the right prioritization and that the deliverables happen on time and with high quality according to the strategy and plans.

The ideal candidate is a strong and independent individual, with a strong background in program and product management in products which includes SW & HW, who knows how to lead a team in the right direction even without formal authority.

What you will do:

Identify and specify the market requirements, while working closely with the marketing, Data, and commercial teams to specify the needs, and R&D to evaluate the different technological options and directions.

Plan, manage, and track all companion animals\xe2\x80\x99 activities while ensuring holistic control and balance.

Ensure that the roadmap is aligned with the business\xe2\x80\x99s strategic objectives, by setting the proper project priorities, seeking for optimization, and resolving conflicts. Ensure an effective and engaged program team (matrix) by providing ongoing guidance and mentorship to ensure the fulfillment of program objectives

Follow the governance processes in the species programs.

Build a partnership with Marketing and other relevant stakeholders to promote continuous growth, while ensuring daily business operations

Build credibility and relationships, and maintains communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, both externally and internally

Generate Product Requirement Documents, PRD, with detailed specifications for new animal monitoring verticals, as well as ongoing enhancements to our existing portfolio.

Work with market experts to prepare business cases for proposed solutions, providing an objective analysis of potential new market opportunities to be used as a basis for investment decisions.

Collaborate with development teams, (engineering, systems design, QA, and support teams) to ensure that the planned products are delivered to market according to the agreed time and specification.

Support the Product Marketing team throughout the complete NPI process.

Collaborating with other departments at the company, such as Marketing, Engineering, and Support groups assisting them with R&D tier support issues.

What you will need:

Consumer electronics background (Companion Animal background preferable).

B.Sc. (or M.Sc.) in Computer Science, Computer/SW Engineering, or Electronic Engineering.

Substantial experience in Leading R&D positions with in depth experience leading product and program managers.

Proven history of delivering high quality product requirement specifications for advanced solutions.

experience with interdisciplinary solutions

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent time management and project prioritization skills.

Fluent in English
