Friends Indeed are looking for mature, 'BIG-hearted' people who can offer just a few hours each week (you choose the hours you want to work - 4, 6, 10?) to enable older people to continue to enjoy life in their own homes. Only ladies and gents with life experience and a positive, 'unflappable', practical approach join our caring, supportive team of companions.
The role does not involve you doing any personal care
, and there are no uniforms worn.You MUST be okay doing the following...
Companionship & chats over a cuppa Shopping & a few errands Help around the home, light cleaning & housekeeping. Laundry & change bedding. Cooking simple meals. Taking clients to appointments and social 'out & about'
Also, you might be able to offer...
- Support with reading, games, hobbies & interests
- Simple gardening or very basic DIY
- Help with pet care & dog walking
- Basic help with iPads & everyday technology
- Respite/sitting for family carers
- Basic Dementia support
You will need a full driving license & your own clean, reliable standard-sized car. Also, you must own a reliable smart phone.
