Companionship and Activity Host

to join our friendly team.

This is a rewarding, home-based role where you'll open your home to up to four older guests for a day of meaningful companionship, activities, and a delicious home-cooked lunch.

What You'll Do

Welcome and care for up to four older clients in your home on hosting days Collect and return clients at the start and end of each day Provide a nutritious, home-cooked lunch and refreshments Create a safe, engaging, and friendly environment that supports wellbeing Lead person-led activities and meaningful conversations Offer gentle personal care and medication reminders if required Build genuine connections that make a real difference to your guests' day

Who You Are

Naturally empathetic and sociable, with a warm, welcoming manner An excellent listener who enjoys connecting with people Positive, flexible, and reliable Able to demonstrate caring qualities -- previous experience in care is helpful but not essential Hold a full UK driving licence, have access to a 5-door car, and can transport clients safely Your home has easy ground-floor access, a downstairs toilet, and minimal steps Live in or near Dorchester (local applications especially welcome) Willing to complete a DBS check (paid for by us)

What We Offer

Part-time hours - typically 1-3 hosting days per week, 10am-2pm 110 per hosting day, plus food costs up to 11 per guest Mileage paid at 45p per mile and all expenses covered Full training, guidance, and ongoing support from our local team Health and safety and risk assessment support provided Access to the Blue Light Card discount scheme Paid DBS check and ongoing professional development
