Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our small used vehicle sales Company. Currently the Position is part time, the days and working hours can be very flexible, however the Position is working in the Company Office.

The Position can be as an Employee on PAYE or Freelance where an Invoice is presented monthly. The requirement for qualifications can be by Examination or experience. There is a desire to expand the level of sales from January 2026 and therefore there may be a need for more hours to be worked.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate & timely Management Accounts and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the organisation's financial health and growth through accurate record-keeping and analysis. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in accounting software and a keen eye for detail.

Duties



Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho Books. Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently Reconcile bank and Credit Card statements and ensure accuracy of financial data Prepare month-end and year-end reports and closing procedures Running a small PAYE system. Quarterly VAT Returns Collaborate with other departments to facilitate financial planning and reporting

Qualifications



Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential Complete control of Purchase & Sales Ledgers. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to analyse financial data accurately and efficiently Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is desirable but not mandatory Good communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Experience and being capable of the Admin & Sales side of the Business will be advantageous. A complete knowledge Business IT and of the Microsoft Office software is necessary

Pay: 8,320.00-24,960.00 per year
