Job Description

To work as part of a wider team, organising the repair, maintenance, and renovation of a large portfolio of properties. Will include property assessments, purchasing of goods, liaising with landlords, contractors and other agencies, and moving clients into properties. The role involves a mix of office based administrative work, and task undertaken out in the community.

Key Responsibilities



1. To assess repair and maintenance tasks logged by Compass St Johns staff and clients.

2. To organise the completion of repair works, utilising "in-house" maintenance staff and external contractors.

3. To communicate to landlords repairs that are their responsibility to resolve, including organising access to properties, or providing contractors to complete the work if required.

4. To undertake property assessments during and after vacation, compiling a list of renovation works required in order to return the property to a safe, liveable standard.

5. To source and purchase goods required to return properties to liveable standards, including furniture, household items, repair materials (if required).

6. To move clients into properties, ensuring utility bills and relevant paperwork is all completed to a high standard.

7. To use practical skills to help turn empty properties around and help complete minor repair work

8. To be involved in removal days, whereby vacated properties are stripped of no longer serviceable items/furnishing, replacing them with new items/furnishings.

9. To build relationships with landlords and letting agents, maintaining the property portfolio, and develop opportunities to acquire further properties.

10. To work as part of a larger team to achieve the organisations goals, feeding back at regular team meetings on work undertake and areas of concern.

11. To be involved in the management of ex-clients stored belongings, writing to the clients to arrange collection, and disposing of belongings where collection has not happened.

12. To maintain and provide records (receipts/invoices) of any company expenses, using either company funds or personal funds. Personal funds will be refunded.

13. To engage with clients in a polite manner when in their properties, feeding back any concerns to the relevant support worker.

14. To comply with all Health and Safety and Safe Working Practices policies whilst undertaking your duties.

15. To adhere to relevant legislation, policy, and guidance relating to Data Protection and Confidentiality.

16. To contribute to the pro-social environment of Compass St Johns.

17. To promote Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion in all practice involving clients, staff, and the wider community.

18. To carry out any other tasks, duties, or projects as commensurate with the general level of this post as required by the Management Team.

Any extra hours worked must be agreed with the Manager and must be taken back as Time in Lieu.



Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 27,768.30 per year
