Compensation Analyst - JP Morgan - London - 5 months contract - HYBRID - PAYE



We are seeking a Compensation Analyst to join JP Morgan in London on an initial 5 months contract. Compensation as part of our talent development strategy, is fundamental to our goal to attract, retain, and motivate our workforce.



As a Compensation Analyst/Associate for Corporate and Firmwide Functions, you will support a variety of global and regional compensation activities, including providing compensation analysis to stakeholders, actively contributing to annual compensation planning processes, and analysing and reporting internal and external market compensation data.

You will partner across the Global Compensation organization to combine in-depth knowledge of compensation principles, understanding of the business needs, and the market and regulatory landscapes to deliver detailed reporting, analyses, and recommendations.

Job Responsibilities



Support and advise on compensation related activities, including new hire offers, promotions, transfers, budget allocation/forecasting and top talent retention Develop a comprehensive understanding of business challenges and priorities; effectively analyze issues, determine root causes, propose and communicate solutions Performing complex analyses and presenting findings to senior management Provide clear advice and recommendations to help partners make informed and sound comp-related decisions; influence toward compensation best practices Align with HR business advisors to identify opportunities, improve existing compensation programs, policies and processes Continually assessing market conditions and pay practices to ensure competitiveness of compensation plans and programs Translating regulatory and policy governance/requirements into clear guidance for clients Contributing to the EMEA Compensation Agenda including regulatory and region-specific compensation activities Actively participate in firmwide projects involving compensation, including but not limited to policy reviews, changes in compensation practices, and systems development

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:



Relevant Compensation, Finance, or related experience, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong data management skills and a basic understanding of how a highly matrixed organization is structured High level of proficiency with Microsoft applications: Advanced understanding of Excel is required - mastery of Pivot Tables, IF statements, XLOOKUPs; exposure to VBA helpful Detail and results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and cultivate strong partnerships Proven consulting skills; ability to manage business goals through Human Resource/Compensation strategies and address issues/devise solutions with creativity and innovation

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:



Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools, such as SAP Business Objects High degree of intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn

Please note that this role will be working on a hybrid model of 3 days office based and 2 days WFH. You'll require your own device when WFH.

Contract length: 5 months

Pay: 250.00-350.00 per day
