Job Description
St. Richard's Hospice is looking for volunteers to make a difference to the lives of others every day.
The Hospice's Complementary Therapy team provides a large range of therapies including Indian Head massage, Shiatsu, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, foot and hand massage, relaxation techniques and 'M' technique to in-patients, out-patients, day hospice, bereaved and carers and we are currently recruiting for new volunteers.
What are the qualities and qualifications needed for this volunteer role?
A minimum of two years' post qualification experience. Palliative care experience is desirable Current membership of an appropriate professional body and fully insured A sound understanding of complementary therapies Volunteer therapists must be qualified in at least two of the following disciplines: aromatherapy massage, reflexology, Indian head massage, relaxation therapy, massage therapy, M Technique and HEARTS Therapy Friendly and compassionate with good communication skills To be keen to develop your existing skills and knowledge Basic IT skills
