We are currently recruiting
three Complex Care Support Workers
to join the core care teams supporting
two children (a girl and a boy)
living at home in
Barnsley
. These roles offer consistent hours, long-term stability, and the opportunity to provide meaningful care within a family home setting.
Available Positions
x3 - 36-Hour Waking Night Contracts
(7am-7pm or 8am-8pm)
Opportunity for increased hours in the future
Training start date: 05 January 2026 (earlier if candidate available)
About the Role
You will be supporting children with complex health needs in their own homes, providing safe, compassionate and clinically competent care. The role requires vigilance, professionalism and a calm, reassuring approach, alongside supporting emotional wellbeing and daily routines.
Key Responsibilities
As a Complex Care Support Worker with MAM Care Services, your duties may include:
Delivering high-quality, person-centred care in the child's home
Supporting children with complex medical and physical needs
Undertaking clinical tasks such as:
Airway management and suctioning
PEG / enteral feeding
Medication administration
Seizure monitoring and management
Supporting daily routines including personal care, mobility and engagement
Maintaining accurate care records in line with CQC and company standards
Communicating effectively with families, healthcare professionals and management
Responding appropriately to emergencies in line with clinical protocols
Upholding safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries
Attending training, supervision and competency assessments
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking reliable, compassionate and motivated individuals who are confident working independently within family homes.
Essential Requirements
Experience working with children with complex needs (community or hospital settings)
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
Right to work in the UK
Please note: While experience in complex care is preferred, full clinical training and ongoing support will be provided for suitable candidates to ensure confidence and competence in the role.
Desirable Skills
Training or experience in one or more of the following is advantageous:
