We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a supportive environment for individuals receiving home care.
Duties
The client you will be supporting is a young girl, who has a learning disability, Autism, sight and hearing impairment, epilepsy, a tracheostomy and PEG in situ and receives overnight humidified air therapy. You will be responsible for: tracheostomy care, overnight humified air therapy, gastronomy care and feeding, medication administration, continence care, bowel management, seizure control and management, care/ use of cochlear device, and some mobility support.
A part of your role will include accompanying her to college too.
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting their mental well-being.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the living environment for all residents.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safe transportation.
Shift pattern
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
7am-5pm
Experience
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
A good command of English is necessary for effective communication with residents and team members.
Basic IT skills are beneficial for maintaining records and communicating within the team.

Requirements:
Right to work in the UK
Ability to complete the physical aspects of the role such as Moving and handling
At least 6-months of UK based care experience
Knowledge of complex care is desired
Are willing to do alternative weekends or 1 weekend out of 4
All successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check
