About the Role

We are looking for a kind, reliable and proactive

Homecare Carer / Personal Assistant

to join the small care team supporting an individual living with complex long-term health conditions. AH lives at home with her mother and requires compassionate, consistent support to help her maintain her independence, comfort and wellbeing.

You will play a vital role in providing day-to-day assistance, supporting with all activities of daily living, monitoring her health, and ensuring a safe and positive home environment.

About AH

They are an intelligent and creative individual with a passion for ceramics and art. She previously attended pottery classes and exhibited her work locally. AH enjoys meaningful conversation, creativity, and spending time in a calm, supportive environment. Due to chronic fatigue syndrome, adrenal insufficiency and other health conditions, she requires ongoing monitoring and care

Key Responsibilities

Support with

personal care

, mobility, and daily living activities. Assist with

meal preparation

, medication prompts, and fluid intake. Monitor health and wellbeing, including managing steroid adjustments under guidance. Provide

companionship

and emotional support. Support with

light household tasks

to maintain a comfortable living space. Work collaboratively with AH's family and care team. Maintain accurate and confidential care records.

About You

Previous experience in

care or health support

(homecare, PA, or clinical setting preferred). Compassionate, patient, and reliable. Good communication skills and ability to follow care plans. Understanding of or willingness to learn about

adrenal insufficiency

,

chronic fatigue

, and

steroid management

. Flexible and able to work both

daytime

and

occasional sleeping night shifts

. Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential). Must be eligible to work in the UK and willing to undergo a

DBS check

.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 14.00-18.00 per hour
