Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Complex care Healthcare Assistant to join our team. Patient details

HCAs (1 HCA for days, 1 for nights) MUST BE A DRIVER Clinical interventions -Learning Disabilities/ASD, Non-Verbal, Pressure Area Care, Aloe Vera Bag, Valve & Mask Gastrostomy Care, Medication Administration, Medication via a Gastrostomy, Mobility Aids Moving and Assisting, Oral Suction, Oxygen Therapy Rescue Medication

Responsibilities

MUST BE ABLE TO DO THE FOLLOWING DUITES:

Pressure Area Care, Aloe Vera Bag, Valve & Mask Gastrostomy Care, Medication Administration, Medication via a Gastrostomy, Mobility Aids Moving and Assisting, Oral Suction, Oxygen Therapy Rescue Medication*
Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and any changes in condition. Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal care and support for each patient. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to patient care.

Skills

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with patients and colleagues. Ability to follow care plans diligently and adapt to the needs of patients as they arise. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating within the healthcare team. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting patients when required. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
