Complex Care Nurse (RGN) - Adults & Children

30 - 40 per hour o Weekly pay o Block-booked community shifts
Coverage: Guildford o Woking o Epsom o Reigate o Redhill o Leatherhead + every Surrey postcode

Your day-to-day impact

Assess & monitor

adults, children and young people at home, in schools or respite centres--recording NEWS2/PEWS, sats, seizure logs and wound assessments.

Deliver complex interventions

: trach changes, ventilator parameter checks, TPN line care, cough-assist, suctioning, enteral feeds, seizure rescue meds, bowel & bladder routines and pressure-area management.

Create person-centred care plans

aligned with CQC standards, MDT goals and family preferences; lead clinical reviews and MDT handovers.

Coach & upskill

family members and HCAs on emergency protocols, equipment, infection control and moving-and-handling techniques.

Coordinate

with GPs, consultants, physios, OTs, SALT and dietitians to deliver seamless, holistic care.

Maintain meticulous electronic records

(EMIS / SystmOne) to meet safeguarding and audit requirements.

Champion a safety culture

--recognise early signs of deterioration, escalate promptly and report incidents transparently.

Stay ahead

by completing mandatory and specialist training modules.
Your credentials

Current NMC registration (Adult RGN).

12+ months UK experience

in community, ICU, HDU, neuro, paediatric or complex-care settings. Proven competence in

tracheostomy, ventilation and enteral/TPN

(or willingness to upskill--training provided).

Enhanced DBS (children & adults)

on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).

Right to work in the UK

(sponsorship not available).

Full UK driving licence & car

preferred.
Desirable extras

Experience with

spinal-cord injury management, ventilator weaning or ABI rehabilitation

. Competence in

palliative symptom control

or

seizure rescue protocols

. Qualifications in

teaching & assessing

or

PBS for dual-diagnosis clients
