Home Care Support Worker

Location: Willingdon, near Eastbourne

Hours: Hours: Full Time 42 hours and Bank contracts available

Rates of pay: 13.50 - 16.00 per hour

Due to the needs of the client, we are only seeking female Healthcare Support Workers.

CHD Care at Home, which is part of CHD Living's award-winning group of care services, has an exciting opportunity for Support Workers to join a specialist team dedicated to supporting a female client living with brain injury.

Based in our client's home, you will provide care and support around the clock, which is tailored to suit the client's individual needs.

Our client's needs include:

Assistance with activities of daily living including personal care Medication administration Management of non-invasive ventilation at night Managing positioning/ posture through a 24-hour period including in wheelchair and in bed
In addition, you will be key to providing the client with encouragement and support to maintain and improve independence. You will also support the family by keeping them up-to-date with clinical issues.

Essential Requirements:

Be able to act as the client's advocate, enhancing their quality of life and managing their needs effectively Be experienced in monitoring signs of clinical deterioration Have experience of working with people with a neurological condition Have excellent written and spoken English language skills Be an excellent team player Be an excellent communicator Right to work in the UK Full and clean driving licence
