Avalon is currently supporting a Housing Association in Hertfordshire to recruit a Complex Works Manager.

The Opportunity:



The successful candidate will lead the management and resolution of damp and mould, disrepair, and void properties, ensuring all works are delivered safely, cost-effectively, and to the quality required.



The successful candidate will:


Oversee the disrepair process, manage EPA claims within strict timeframes, and ensure the response to damp and mould meets all policy, legal, and statutory requirements. Survey void properties to robust contract management and procurement, you'll make sure homes meet lettable standards and remain compliant with all legislation and health and safety regulations Manage operational budget and forecasting. Manage a team and provide technical expertise on building construction and defects.

Permanent Hybrid working - 3 days per week on site 52,000 - 58,000 Thorough knowledge and understanding of Disrepair (home condition claims), Damp and Mould and void properties

Requirements:


Driving license & access to a vehicle HNC level in Building Surveying or equivalent construction-related qualification Experience managing contractors delivering multiple workstreams Experience managing large budgets, up to 5 million per annum
