Complex-Care HCA (Trach / Vent) - Adults & Children


16.00 - 20.00 per hour o Weekly pay o Block-booked or ad-hoc shifts

What you'll do

Deliver 1:1 complex care

in clients' homes, schools or respite centres - including trach care, ventilator parameter checks, suctioning, oxygen therapy, enteral feeds and bowel routines.

Monitor health indicators

- sats, ETCO?, NEWS2/PEWS, seizure logs and pressure areas; escalate early-warning signs.

Support ADLs

- washing, dressing, repositioning and safe manual handling.

Document meticulously

- update electronic care notes (EMIS / SystmOne) and complete incident logs in real time.

Coach family members

on equipment checks, infection control and emergency actions to build confidence.

Promote engagement

- accompany clients to therapy sessions, school, college or community activities.

Champion safeguarding

- recognise and report any concerns without delay.
Essentials you'll bring

6+ months' hands-on experience

with tracheostomy and/or ventilation in home-care, hospital or hospice settings.

Enhanced DBS

on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain). Completed

Care Certificate

(or equivalent) and confidence using care-documentation apps.

Right to work in the UK

- sponsorship not available.

Driving licence & car

preferred for community visits; mileage paid.

Resilience & empathy

- you'll be a lifeline to clients and families.

Competency in

PEG/TPN feeds, cough-assist or spinal-injury care

PMVA / MAPA

training for dual-diagnosis clients. NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (or working towards).
