Due to the expansion of the department, we are looking to recruit a Compliance Assistant to support our Risk and Compliance team in Carlisle on a full-time basis.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will provide support to the Head of Risk and Compliance undertaking a range of tasks including:
Onboarding new client entity/matters on our case management software.
Carrying out client AML checks in line with legislation.
Assisting with the firm's archiving procedures.
Deliver compliance project work as directed by the Head of Risk and Compliance.
Deal with day-to-day compliance queries that are sent to the compliance mailbox.
Providing admin support to the Head of Risk and Compliance
Deal with requests to release Deeds, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney etc from secure storage in accordance with Burnetts internal procedures.
To carry out monthly compliance file reviews on all fee earning staff in each client facing departments, support client facing staff through any corrective action and keep a record of the audit on Access Compliance.
The successful candidate will have a proactive 'can-do' attitude. The ability to work as part of a team is essential together with excellent administrative, communication, organisational and IT skills.
