to join our team and support the effective management of our policies, processes, and regulatory responsibilities.
The Role
As a
Compliance / Assurance Officer
, you will play a key role in ensuring that our business operations meet internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards. You will support the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance frameworks, while also providing assurance that risks are effectively managed across projects and business units.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and review compliance with internal policies, client requirements, and statutory regulations.
Support audits (internal and external) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain and update compliance records, registers, and assurance documentation.
Provide advice, guidance, and training to staff on compliance and assurance matters.
Assist in identifying risks, recommending controls, and monitoring effectiveness.
Prepare reports and data analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
Ensure alignment with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards where applicable.
About You
We're looking for someone with a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the confidence to engage with colleagues across all levels of the business.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a compliance, assurance, or audit role.
Good understanding of regulatory frameworks, risk management, and assurance processes.
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and compliance systems.
Desirable:
Knowledge of compliance requirements within industry sector
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ISO Auditor, ICA, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
