to join our factory team. This role involves overseeing a small team to ensure all Quality Assurance monitoring is completed accurately and on time, in line with company procedures. You will act as a key link between the Compliance team, Operations, Hygiene, and Technical teams to maintain high standards of product quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all products are handled in line with food safety, integrity, authenticity, legality, and quality standards.
Review and investigate metal detector rejections, log foreign bodies, manage incidents, and provide corrective actions.
Conduct daily and monthly audits across production, warehouse, hygiene, fabrication, and perimeter areas, including pest control. Communicate findings in monthly Quality Reports.
Support and guide the Compliance team in daily operations.
Assist the Technical department with environmental monitoring and improvement programmes.
Audit production paperwork and label verification against specifications, raising corrective actions when non-conformances arise.
Participate in daily taste panels with the Compliance team, Factory Manager, and Supervisors to ensure product quality.
Perform monthly traceability audits and mass balance checks alongside the logistics team.
Manage Quality Intake and approve raw materials for factory use.
Control out-of-specification materials and products through the Quarantine procedure, coordinating corrective actions.
Principal Accountabilities
Uphold and promote site Health & Safety procedures, completing all required line safety and audit checks.
Understand and promote the site Food Safety Culture Plan.
Provide technical support and team cover as needed.
Coordinate with Technical, Logistics, Engineering, and Hygiene departments.
Work collaboratively in problem-solving exercises as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
Contribute to all site quality-based improvements and initiatives.
Requirements
Previous experience in a quality, compliance, or auditing role, ideally in a food production environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
Ability to analyse data and take corrective actions.
Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and quality standards.
