Reporting to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer the Compliance Business Partner at Uinsure helps to operate frameworks which achieve compliance with the Financial Conduct Authority's requirements, and manage regulatory risk. They will help provide assurance to the Board that Uinsure is meeting all regulatory requirements, and support in the delivery of good customer outcomes.

The primary function of this role is to deliver quality assurance in the specialist broking function, and the contact centres. You will work with the business to support the delivery of compliant advised sales on a range of home and property insurance products, you will oversee marketing and customer facing documents and support the education of the business.

The Compliance Business Partner will have excellent technical regulatory knowledge including an excellent understanding of ICOBS and the Principles for Businesses. They must be detail oriented and be able to work independently in support of the Risk and Compliance team and the wider business.

The role is office based and includes hybrid working. You will work with the whole business in this broad and comprehensive role, in a fast growing insurtech business.

Role Responsibilities



o Performing second line quality assurance on Uinsure's direct sales operation, focussed on the specialist arm of the business, and delivering feedback to staff in the first line who are selling general insurance products.

Reviewing and providing sign off on customer facing documentation, marketing materials, websites, presentations and financial promotions to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Carrying out quality assurance work on our key distribution partners to provide assurance that our customers are receiving good outcomes. Horizon scanning - updating the team on FCA/Treasury/ICO etc related matters to ensure the business can respond to requirements. Supporting on the delivery of educational materials for the business and business partners. Consulting with and advising the D2C teams to build knowledge and expertise in the regulatory framework. Consulting with the business and first line of defence to embed sound regulatory standards throughout the group. Report writing for the Risk and Board committees.

Person Specification



Essential Criteria:



o Strong industry knowledge of the home and property insurance market knowledge of PRIN/SYSC/ICOBS/CONC/ DISP/GDPR Knowledge of fraud prevention, data security, data protection Ability to interpret and implement regulation / legislation Strong written / report writing and verbal skills Reporting skills Strong ability to work across the business to deliver sometimes difficult messages, to educate, and support through to resolution. o Excellent professional standards - time keeping, work ethic, timely delivery, efficiency 3 years' experience in risk and compliance based roles in Financial Services industry Positivity and diplomacy Detail focused Discretion Ability to influence and negotiate

Desirable Criteria:



Degree level education in appropriate discipline.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
