Job Description

On behalf of The Government Property Agency, we are looking for a Compliance Manager for a 5 month contract based REMOTELY with some ad hoc travel possible.



The Government Property Agency is an Executive Agency of the cabinet office. It is changing the way the Civil Service works and is at the forefront of Government's transformation agenda; reshaping the relationship civil servants have with their place of work. The Agency is central to the delivery of key Government policies including moving 22,000 Civil Service roles out of London by 2030 and tackling climate change by contributing to the Net Zero agenda. To do this we are delivering a major change programme across the UK and consolidating our portfolio in order to save 1.4 Bn over 10 years.

As a Compliance Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:



Manage the Assurance Team FM Audit and Assurance Plan. Manage the FM Audit and Assurance Non-conformance Register with GPA colleagues, FM Suppliers and Clients. Where required, escalate outstanding Non-conformances to the Assurance Lead to assist in resolution. Develop and manage a reporting template with Assurance Team colleagues to be submitted in accordance with the GPA Operations FM Audit and Assurance Procedure. Where required, manage non-conformance remediation meetings with FM Suppliers, Landlords and Other Government Departments with the support of Assurance Team Colleagues. Maintain knowledge on all required regulations and design required training programs for compliance procedures and inspect all activities. Manage and track all emerging standards and perform audit according to standard and organise all internal and external resources for audits.

Essential:

Demonstrable experience of working in a multi-client service organisation in a relevant field, such as compliance management. The ability to interpret and understand business needs of clients in order to build positive relationships. Ability to work autonomously, prioritising tasks effectively in order to meet deadlines (both internal and external) and communicating progress wherever necessary. Conversant and competent in management of clients and contractors.

Desirable:

Ideally, hold a NEBOSH Certificate or IOSH Managing Safely qualification. Ideally, hold active SC Clearance.
