Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a Compliance Manager at our Coatbridge Depot to support the compliance requirements of our Operator's Licence.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Transport Operations Manager and will play a hands-on role in ensuring our systems meet regulatory standards. This role ensures that all logistics activities align with company policies, government regulations, and industry best practices. The manager also leads compliance initiatives, conducts audits, manages driver training, and oversees the maintenance and operation of the vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Transport Operations Manager in maintaining full compliance with our Operator's Licence undertakings Monitor scheduled vehicle maintenance and defect reporting and repairs Monitor adherence to tachograph regulations and driver hours Maintain accurate compliance records and assist with internal audits Support the development of company compliance systems Monitor fuel usage, vehicle tracking, and maintenance costs Liaise with external service providers, vehicle suppliers, and regulatory bodies Keep up to date with changes in legislation and best practices and ensure training materials reflect this Generate compliance reports for senior management Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance inspections and audits

Essential Qualifications & Experience

Refresher training as needed to retain this accreditation Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with compliance technology systems

Desirable Attributes

Strong understanding of operator licensing and Traffic Commissioner requirements Previous experience in transport and logistics operations Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
Previous experience in an HGV/ Fleet Management environment would be preferred.

Hours of work - Monday to Friday 0800hrs to 1700hrs.
