Compliance Manager

Eastbourne, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Compliance Manager to join our senior team across The Devonshire Nursing Home (Eastbourne) and Threeways Nursing Home (Seaford). These are warm, well-established homes with a genuine family feel - where everyone is known by name, and care is personal, not corporate.

This dual-site role is critical to ensuring we meet - and exceed - regulatory standards across the board. You'll support both Home Managers and their teams to uphold excellence in clinical governance, operational quality, safeguarding, GDPR, and wider CQC compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain robust oversight of CQC compliance, internal audits, training, and incident management Ensure we meet all obligations under GDPR and data protection legislation, including safe handling of resident and staff records Carry out regular data security checks, support the completion of DPIAs where required, and act as a named lead for information governance Lead on internal quality improvement initiatives, including audits, themed reviews, and action plans Coach, mentor and guide staff on best practice across both clinical and operational areas Help prepare both services for inspections and external reviews, providing confidence and clarity to the teams Collaborate with managers and directors to drive measurable improvements in key areas, including safeguarding, documentation, and risk assessments
What We're Looking For:

Solid experience in compliance, quality, or governance in a health or social care setting Familiarity with CQC frameworks, GDPR, and safeguarding regulations Strong communicator - able to lead with both authority and warmth Organised, proactive, and capable of managing priorities across two busy homes A genuine team player who thrives on making a difference and supporting others to do their best work
Why Join Us?

We're family-run, values-led, and care deeply about doing things properly You'll work directly with our Home Managers, Deputies, and Directors - your voice will be heard Opportunity to shape and improve systems, not just monitor them A role that combines professional challenge with personal reward Supportive, no-blame culture - we grow together
If you're someone who holds high standards, knows how to embed good practice, and wants to help others thrive - we'd love to hear from you.
