Role overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Compliance Manager to join our team at Gleaner, a leading fuel distribution company.
Key responsibilities:
Manage relationships with insurance brokers regarding claims and provide input as necessary

Oversee the Permit to Work (PTW) system, ensuring all necessary permits are issued and adhered to.
Develop and roll out training programmes related to the Permit to Work process for staff.
Monitor and ensure compliance with routine maintenance schedules across all sites.
Organise annual maintenance for our depots and filling stations to ensure operational efficiency.
Complete and maintain documentation for renewable fuels, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and up to date.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and compliance within the organisation.
ISO 14001,19001 &45001 system maintenance and compliance
Develop, implement, and review compliance policies and procedures in line with BSI standards.
Maintenance of HSE records and reporting
Auditing, measuring, and reporting HSEQ performance.
Provide support, education, and training employees.
Coordinating internal and external HSEQ inspections and audits
You will be expected to partake in HSE investigations and monitoring the changing environment of safety and operations.
Introduce and maintain site policies and procedures to comply with UK Legislation and Governing Bodies.
Will predominantly office based some travel will be required to other sites.
Facilitate all building maintenance projects including liaising with contractors, and ensuring works are carried out cost effective and safe manner.
Ensure our regional waste is handled and disposed of in safe and cost-effective manner.
Making sure compliance training is completed and up to date of colleagues.
Safety checks ensuring RAMs are completed.
Qualifications:
Desire to work in fast paced, demanding environment.
NEBOSH general certificate or other formal safety qualifications or willing to work towards it.
IOSH Managing Safely
Full Clean driving licence for travelling with a Hire Car as required
Knowledge of ISO legislation and standards(essential)
Chemical industry experience or transport industry desirable but not essential
