Job Description

Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Manager, responsible for ensuring a company adheres to all relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations and policies. This includes developing and implementing SHE policies, conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents, and promoting a culture of safety and compliance. Manage the Integrated Management System (IMS) PAS, MCS etc and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This is predominantly an office-based role with occasional site visits.

Key Responsibilities:



Policy Development and Implementation:



Creating, updating, and managing SHE & PAS2030 policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Risk Assessment and Management:



Conducting thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implementing control measures to mitigate risks.

Incident Investigation:



Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.

Compliance Monitoring:



Regularly monitoring and auditing operations to ensure adherence to SHE policies and procedures and compliance throughout IMS/PAS & Other certification.

Training and Awareness:



Developing and delivering SHE & Compliance training programs to employees at all levels i.e. toolbox talks

Integrated Management System (IMS) & Other Certification:



Managing and maintaining the IMS & PAS to ensure it is effective and aligned with company objectives.

Implement an internal auditing program to ensure the IMS & PAS and Other Certification are requirements are met and action non-conformances raised during the audits

Plan and chair Management review meetings in line with IMS & PAS and Other certification

Lead on external certification bodies annual surveillance / renewal audits to ensure certifications are maintained and completed with minimal non-conformances

Liaison and Communication:



Collaborating with various stakeholders, including employees, management, and external agencies, to promote SHE awareness and compliance.

Reporting and Record Keeping:



Maintaining accurate records of SHE activities, including incidents, training, and audits, and preparing regular reports for management.

Produce weekly SHE & Compliance reports in line with set requirements

Continual Improvement:



Review the overall SHE & Compliance system regularly to identified then plan and monitor areas for continual improvement

Skills and Qualifications:



Strong knowledge of SHE legislation and regulations. Experience in developing and implementing SHE policies and procedures. Strong understanding of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 Strong Understanding of PAS2030:2023 Proficiency in risk assessment and management techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving and analytical skills. NVQ Level 6 Occupational Health and Safety or NEBOSH Diploma Internal Auditor IMS / ISO Systems
