Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to ensure our operations meet all legal, regulatory, and safety standards. This role will focus particularly on plant and fleet compliance, ensuring that all vehicles, equipment, and associated processes adhere to industry regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs related to plant and fleet management.
Monitor and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations for all vehicles and equipment.
Manage documentation for compliance, including MOTs, service records, safety checks, and certifications.
Coordinate with fleet managers to ensure proper maintenance, licensing, and training for vehicle operators.
Conduct audits and inspections to identify non-compliance and implement corrective actions.
Attend commercial and compliance meetings, providing updates on fleet and plant status.
Investigate and resolve compliance issues, including liaising with regulatory bodies when necessary.
Keep up-to-date with changes in regulations and implement new practices as required.
Train staff on compliance procedures related to plant and fleet management.
Maintain accurate records and generate reports on compliance activities.
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Compliance Manager or in a similar role within construction, utilities, or infrastructure.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to plant and fleet operations.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage compliance documentation efficiently.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance management software.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Full UK driving license
Qualifications:
Relevant qualifications in compliance, health and safety, or fleet management.
IOSH or NEBOSH certification (preferred).
Experience in managing compliance for plant and fleet within the construction or utilities sector is highly desirable.
