Our Property & Asset Service is made up of skilled professionals from diverse backgrounds who bring energy and expertise to their roles every day. We're united by one goal: delivering for our residents.

This role will be a critical one within our Property & Asset team that will oversee all key areas of statutory and regulatory compliance, including gas, electrical safety, fire safety, asbestos, legionella, lifts, radon and emerging building safety requirements. You will be responsible for ensuring that tenants remain safe in their homes and that the Council fully meets is legal and regulatory obligations.

You will develop and manage robust programmes for cyclical and statutory testing and inspection and ensure any subsequent remedial actions are resolved to meet customers expectations.

We want you to have a good general education with 5 GCSE at grade C and above, including English and Maths together with a degree or HNC or equivalent in a building related or construction subject. Significant experience in managing staff and contractors responsible for the repair and maintenance of social housing stock. You will need a working knowledge of CDM and building regulations together with a good working knowledge of health & safety, gas safety, fire safety and asbestos regulations.
