This role is integral in ensuring that all activities align with local, national, and international regulations while maintaining our commitment to sustainability and safety.

Role Summary




The Compliance Manager will coordinate compliance activities, develop policies and procedures, and ensure that our operations remain within regulatory frameworks. This position will collaborate with various teams across the organization to promote an ethical work environment and mitigate compliance risks.

Requirements



Key Responsibilities



Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and standard operating procedures in line with local, national, and international regulations. Regulatory Monitoring: Monitor changes in shipping, environmental, and safety regulations affecting operations and implement necessary updates to compliance programs. Training and Awareness: Develop training programs for employees to promote compliance awareness and understanding of relevant regulations. Compliance Audits: Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate compliance performance and identify areas for improvement. Reporting: Prepare compliance reports and present findings to senior management regarding compliance status, risks, and recommended actions. Liaison with Authorities: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, ensuring open lines of communication and prompt responses to inquiries. Investigations: Lead investigations into compliance violations and manage corrective action plans to prevent recurrence. Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with various departments, such as Safety, Operations, and Legal, to ensure alignment and compliance across the organization.

Experience and Qualifications



Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance management, preferably in the maritime, shipping, or logistics industry. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of shipping regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and develop effective compliance solutions. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders at all levels. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications in compliance or regulatory affairs is a plus. Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ethical Mindset: Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity in all aspects of work.
