With a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and environmental responsibility, we are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to help us uphold and continuously improve our standards in compliance, health & safety, and customer project execution.

Role Overview



This is a multifaceted role that goes beyond compliance. The successful candidate will not only manage our audit and certification processes but also contribute to the front-end of customer projects, ensuring that packaging quotations and design drawings align with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities



Compliance & Quality Management



Manage compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks including ISO, BRCGS, FSC, and FDA. Oversee and maintain the ABACA system, ensuring accuracy and readiness for all audits. Lead the preparation and execution of internal and external audits. Ensure health & safety compliance, conducting risk assessments and recommending improvements. Develop and update compliance policies and procedures in line with regulatory and customer requirements. Promote a culture of continuous improvement across all departments.

Sustainability & Environmental Responsibility



Monitor and report on environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives. Support the company's goals to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and meet sustainability targets.

Technical Packaging Support



Review and advise on quotations for packaging projects, ensuring accuracy, legal compliance, and alignment with standards. Provide technical oversight on design drawings, working closely with the design and production teams to ensure all packaging solutions meet specifications, regulatory guidelines, and customer expectations. Assist with technical documentation and ensure customer-facing materials are compliant and professionally presented.

Internal Collaboration



Liaise with production, sales, quality assurance, and design departments to ensure all elements of compliance are considered during new product development. Deliver training to staff on quality, safety, and compliance matters.

Required Experience & Qualifications



Proven experience in a compliance or quality role within the corrugated packaging industry. ABACA system proficiency is essential. Experience preparing and participating in ISO, BRCGS, FSC, and FDA audits. Working knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental compliance. In-depth understanding of health & safety regulations in a manufacturing environment. Experience reviewing and advising on packaging quotations and technical design drawings. Strong technical understanding of corrugated packaging materials and processes. Excellent organisational, documentation, and communication skills. NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification is desirable.
