About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to join our team in a key role ensuring that our helicopter engineering operations meet all applicable regulatory, safety, and quality standards. This position is critical to maintaining our reputation for excellence, regulatory approval, and operational integrity within the aviation industry.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Oversight:
Ensure full compliance with national and international aviation regulations (e.g., CAA, EASA, FAA), airworthiness requirements, and applicable aerospace standards.
Audit Management:
Lead internal audits and coordinate with external regulatory and customer audits. Prepare the organisation for inspections and ensure timely closure of findings and observations.
Compliance Monitoring Programme:
Develop, implement, and manage the company's Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP) in line with Part-145, Part-M/CAMO, and any other relevant standards.
Policy & Procedure Development:
Maintain and update company policies, procedures, and manuals (including MOE, CAME, and exposition documents) to ensure they reflect current regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Training & Awareness:
Deliver training and guidance to staff on compliance matters, regulatory updates, and procedural changes. Promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
Risk Management:
Identify compliance risks and work with relevant departments to develop mitigation strategies. Monitor the effectiveness of compliance controls.
Liaison with Authorities:
Act as the primary point of contact with regulatory authorities and accreditation bodies for compliance-related matters.
Reporting:
Prepare detailed reports and compliance metrics for senior management, including status updates, trends, and areas for improvement.
Requirements
Essential:
Proven experience in a compliance, quality, or regulatory role within an aviation or aerospace environment.
Strong working knowledge of EASA/CAA regulations (Part-145, Part-M/CAMO)
Experience leading audits and managing regulatory documentation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management.
Desirable:
Previous experience in helicopter engineering or rotary-wing operations.
Lead Auditor qualification (EN9100, ISO 9001, or similar).
NEBOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification.
Engineering or technical background with understanding of maintenance and continuing airworthiness.
