Safeguarding and compliance of all systems including ISO Management system, FORS, fleet management, Plant maintenance and control.
Responsibilities
Fleet and plant
Ensure all transport operations adhere to relevant legal and safety regulations, including hours of service, vehicle maintenance and driver qualifications
Communicate compliance requirements to drivers and other staff members
Manage plant maintenance, allocation, and record keeping for all plant
Management systems
Perform annual audits/reviews to ensure compliance with internal policy and procedures and external control certifications.
Monitor/create audit templates, audit calendar and progress, and assigns resources ensuring timely delivery of audit results to department leadership.
Drafts communication updates of policy changes and results of reviews for distribution to all department employees.
Acts as a Compliance resource for process improvement projects and teams on matters related to department policies and procedures.

Technical Skills & Experience
Previous experience working as a Transport Compliance Manager, or similar role within a fast-paced and dynamic business
Knowledge of UK road transport legislation including those related to vehicle maintenance, driver qualifications and hours of service
Knowledge of ISO Management systems and accreditation
Skilled in Microsoft office 365 applications
Qualifications & Training
Driving licence essential
Holding a Transport Manager CPC will be beneficial but isn't essential, training will be provided
