Responsibilities:



Design, develop and maintain a compliance risk assessment tool, to drive the Bank's annual CMP Prepare the Bank's annual CMP for presentation at the relevant committees Prepare a quarterly refresh and progress against the CMP for presentation at the relevant committees Carry out and deliver the reviews scheduled in the CMP with minimal supervision. For example, agree each review ToR, undertake fieldwork, draft the monitoring report, agree actions and recommendations with the Business Escalate material CMP issues to the Compliance Director, in a timely manner Review and close CMP actions with the Business ensuring robust closure of CMP actions, with appropriate supporting evidence Proactively identifying regulatory and/or industry developments that are likely to affect the Bank, with regards to compliance monitoring Assisting with maintenance of the Compliance Manual; and other policy and procedure documents, related to compliance monitoring To contribute to Compliance reporting to oversight committees (including Compliance and Risk Committee (CRC), ExCo and Board committees To assist the Compliance Director, as required, to ensure the Bank meets its ongoing regulatory responsibilities Deputising for the Compliance Director, as required, at meetings and committees Assist and help to develop other Compliance Managers as necessary.

Preferred experience and qualifications



Experience of managing, or holding a similar position in, a high-performance Compliance function. For example, a similar Compliance Monitoring role operating at Manager level, ideally within retail banking. In-depth regulatory knowledge across a wide range of core compliance topics such as Consumer Duty, SYSC, DISP, BCOBS, Conflicts of Interests, PSD2, Conduct Risk and Operational Resilience 5+ years' experience in a 2LOD Compliance function, ideally within retail banking. In depth broad knowledge of FCA and PRA regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements within the retail banking industry. Familiarity with the retail banking industry's core products and services, such as mobile banking apps, cash ISAs, personal current accounts, fixed rates bonds, business current accounts and aggregators. Experience of Compliance monitoring plans and annual risk assessments used to drive monitoring plans. A degree in business, finance, economics or a related banking or compliance professional qualification.

Ability to impact and influence at all levels of the organisation, including senior stakeholders. Ability to proactively manage direct deliverables independently and to a high standard. Need to be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced environment. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy with a proactive mind-set and a desire to learn and grow.
