We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. As an integral member of the organisation, you will be responsible for overseeing the auditing and compliance function of the franchise partners of the business. This will include collating required documentation and conducting overarching audits of the franchise network. Management of your own diary and booking of the audits as required.
The key purpose of the audit role is to ensure adherence to FCA regulatory guidelines and internal company policies and procedures. You will be responsible for contacting the franchise network, booking in audit appointments either in person, at their office address, or via zoom, following the approved audit template. The audit is designed to highlight issues or training needs of the network and so communication with other departments is vital.
The Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organisation adheres to legal standards and internal policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality assurance.
This role often requires travel throughout the UK with overnight stays as necessitated by the business.
Key Individual
The candidate must have at least twelve months experience working in an FCA / compliance role. Experience of working in the franchise sector will be beneficial.
A good understanding of the FCA regulatory framework would be ideal. With the ability to highlight any gaps in knowledge amongst our network and offer training on key FCA requirements.
The Compliance Officer must be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver strong relationships with the franchise network and be an enthusiastic person who can motivate others.
Good computer skills are essential, as the compliance officer will be required to accurately record and report to the board, activity and results on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Responsibilities
Audit all franchise partners at least on an annual basis with a percentage of those audits being conducted at the office address of the franchise
Proactively develop the AR oversight and monitoring process and other policies and procedures within the organisation
Stay informed about any changes in legislation, regulation and internal policies
Support the franchise network in any training required to address any knowledge gaps identified
Timely reporting of activity, productivity and results to the Aspray board of directors
Ensuring the internal CRM system is continually updated and accurate records are kept
Ensuring compliance with GDPR and other legislation
Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programmes to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
