Job Description

The HSE Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organisation complies with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards for Health, Safety and the Environment.

This is an in-person role, split between our 2 Northern Ireland sites in Co. Fermanagh (Lisnaskea) and Co. Tyrone (Donaghmore), with the possibility of occasional travel to our site in Chesterfield GB.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement safe systems of work (SSOW), risk assessments and other safety related documents. Provide induction training, skills training and annual refresher training to all staff. Conduct regular assessments to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies. Investigate incidents or accidents and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate with HR and the operational teams on various compliance related issues Maintain records of compliance activities, including complaints and investigations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field OR3-5+ years of experience in health and safety, risk management, or a related field.

Desirable qualifications, but not essential:

NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma IOSH membership First Aid qualification

Skills and Competencies:

Integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Ability to identify hazards and assess risk Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Hours of work are Monday - Friday, 0900 - 1700

Salary commensurate with experience, with minimum starting salary of 27,000.
