DSEC are an electrical and mechanical contractor to Network Rail, currently holding 2 framework contracts for the Eastern Region. DSEC also hold a Principal Contractor Licence, enabling us to discharge the duties of a Principal Contractor on Network Rail Managed Infrastructure.

With in-house expertise spanning Electrical, HVAC and Fire protection services, we also offer specialist solutions through our extensive network of trusted suppliers. These include auto doors, CCTV, security access control and more.

About the Role

The Compliance Officer role at DSEC is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to lead and manage the Compliance function of the business. Responsibilities of the role include ensuring adherence to regulations and industry standards, management of the Principal Contractor License and Integrated Management System and ensuring its continued compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Experience with aspects of the role detailed below are essential, however there are training opportunities within this role as it develops and grows with the business. The role is empowered to identify areas for process enhancement and driving initiatives to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of operations.

Based out of our offices in Leeds, we work on Network Rail property maintenance and rail projects across the London North Eastern & East Midlands Route. The ability to work confidently alone and as part of a friendly team will be essential.

??Ensure continued compliance with all relevant regulations and any updates, including the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, GDPR, licensing, and environmental protection laws. ??Maintain the Integrated Management System, organise and lead the annual ISO audits to ensure continued certification to ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001. ??Maintain documentation and procedures for DSEC's
Principal Contractor Licence.

??Act as the primary liaison between the company and regulatory bodies and auditors. ??Lead efforts to maintain and promote a safe working environment across DSEC projects. ??Conduct and coordinate regular risk assessments and audits across all operational sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards and ISO accreditations. Work with all areas of the business to implement risk control measures and mitigation strategies to reduce safety, health, environmental, and quality risks. ??Promote environmentally sustainable practices and identify areas for improving the business's environmental footprint. ??Support on-site activities through supervision, audits, and surveys where required.

Essential Skills

??Proven experience in managing and leading a Compliance function. ??Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001. ??Strong communication skills and experience with IT systems. ??Strategic thinker and problem solver with excellent project management skills. ??Valid, clean UK Driver's Licence

Desirable

??Formal qualifications in Environment, and/or Quality. ??Hold or working towards Practitioner level membership of lEMA. ??Working knowledge of Network Rail's Principal
Contractor Licensing Assurance.

??Health & Safety qualification (such as SMSTS, NEBOSH Construction).
