Job Overview


We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. The role will be to ensure our company adheres to regulatory standards, and in-house policies. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters.

You will be well-versed in regulatory guidelines and corporate governance best practices. You will have high ethical standards and work diligently to complete your duties keeping in mind the objectives of the business. You must be comfortable saying "no" when necessary.

Responsibilities



Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of regulatory guidelines and internal policies Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously Revise procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues Draft, modify and implement company policies Collaborate the business to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations Complete and review the annual monitoring plan Ensure the complaints log is kept and reviewed, and MI produced, also root cause analysed. Ensure risk-based monitoring is undertaken against a 28-point checklist, which focuses on outcomes, controls and process Exercise diligent Financial Promotions monitoring, and ensure approval is carried out so advertising is fully compliant Ensure customer telephone calls are recorded and monitored for compliance and for clarity of information Assess the business's future ventures to identify possible compliance risks Oversee the initial, and annual, due diligence and onboarding of appointed representatives Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate Assess and evidence how we are acting to deliver good outcomes for our retail customers throughout the lifecycle of the products and services we provide to them.

Experience



Proven experience in compliance (not compulsory) In-depth knowledge of the industry's standards and regulations Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping A business acumen partnered with a dedication to regulatory guidelines and rules Methodical and diligent An analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of procedures and regulations Excellent communication skills
