The Compliance Officer will report to the Group Senior Compliance Officer & MLRO of PayPoint Plc and form part of the in-house Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit team. This role is responsible for supporting the Group Senior Compliance Manager/MLRO with the management of all aspects of regulatory compliance and financial crime risk across the regulated Paypoint companies.


The compliance function is a team of compliance and fraud specialists operating from PayPoint Group offices in both Welwyn Garden City and Liverpool. This role is primarily based in Welwyn Garden City but occasional travel to Liverpool offices may also be required.

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE



Support the management of compliance and financial crime risks within the regulated businesses within the Paypoint Group, with a particular focus on Paypoint Payment Services Ltd and RSM 2000 Limited. Provide sound compliance advice, support the implementation of controls to embed high standards and mitigate regulatory and financial crime risks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Support the development of compliance infrastructure such that it ensures proper identification, measurement and management of compliance risk, including through building on existing internal policies, procedures and controls. Ensure operating procedures comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, procedures and controls. Own delivery of relevant sections of the compliance monitoring programme. Support with the preparation of clear/concise reports for governance committees. Support a culture of compliance across the business. Deliver training to relevant stakeholders and coach key personnel to manage own compliance responsibilities. Support relationships with regulators. Partake in horizon scanning regulatory developments and new regulatory requirements. Work collaboratively with the Legal Team and Risk and Internal Audit Teams to ensure that regulatory compliance risk is managed effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE





Essential:

Experience managing regulatory compliance risk within a regulated corporate environment, specifically firms subject to Payment Service Regulations, including developing and overseeing policies, procedures and controls. Strong record of regulatory risk identification and process and control improvement. Ability to effectively communicate and interact with senior stakeholders. Experience of providing compliance materials and training to internal stakeholders. Experience of implementation and execution of regulatory and compliance programs


Desirable:

Previous experience in fintech, banking and E-Money. Experience managing financial crime risk within a regulated corporate environment, specifically as applicable to Payment Services firms, including developing and overseeing policies, procedures and controls. Professsional qualification in the field (Legal/Regulatory or Financial Crime)

Takes personal responsibility for getting the job done, hands on and willing to roll sleeves up to support regulatory and financial crime compliance across all businesses in the PayPoint group. Ability to manage different stakeholders and understand business needs whilst ensuring unquestionable compliance with regulatory obligations. Possess effective influencing skills and a good commercial acumen. Proactive, highly motivated and organised with a good team-working ethic. Effective planning and project management skills. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate compliance issues to non-compliance staff. Ability to foster a collaborative compliance culture across the business.
