Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE)
, for its office based in Biggin Hill, Kent, London.
Purpose of Role:
The main purpose of this role is to ensure that aircraft design and modifications complies with all applicable airworthiness requirements. Acting as an approved signatory under the organisation's Design Organisation Approval (DOA), the CVE will provide independent verification of compliance, support certification activities, and liaises with regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently verify and approve compliance with relevant airworthiness regulations like CS-25, CS-23, CS-E, FAR, JAR etc
Provide compliance statements and sign-off for design data, drawings, reports, and substantiation documents
Liaise with CAA, EASA, or other applicable airworthiness authorities during certification processes
Review and approve compliance demonstration documentation including test plans, analysis reports, and compliance matrices
Ensure designs meet applicable safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. Support Type Certification, Supplemental Type Certificate (STC), and Minor Change/Major Change processes
Participate in internal design reviews and contribute to risk assessments
Advise design engineers and project teams on regulatory compliance matters
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable regulations and guidance materials
Represent the Office of Airworthiness in audits and certification meetings
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Degree In Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
5+ years aviation experience in aviation design and/or regulatory environments, with a proven record of compliance demonstration
CVE authorisation (in Structural / Cabin Safety/ System)
Experience with the preparation and approval of certification documentation
Thorough knowledge of the chapters including referenced procedures affecting the design, approval and continued airworthiness process
A good working knowledge of past and current requirements, e.g. FAR, JAR, CS relevant to the discipline(s) for which they are employed and EU Regulations
Knowledge of Part 21
Computer literacy with a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel
